Over the years we have completed many integrations between SugarCRM and content management systems or ecommerce packages like Joomla, Drupal and Magento. Through all of these integrations our favorite CMS has still continued to be ExpressionEngine and its underlying framework CodeIgniter.
This is why I am pleased to highlight two of our latest modules that make linking our favorite CMS ( Expression Engine ) with our favorite CRM ( SugarCRM ) easier than ever.
SugarMembers
SugarMembers is a SugarCRM module and Expression Engine addon that enables the creation of new Expression Engine users from the SugarCRM interface. This is a great solution when looking to create a user portal in Expression Engine that is tightly integrated with SugarCRM.
From within SugarCRM you can browse to a Contact record and create a login for the Contact. The Contact will then be created in Expression Engine and an email confirmation will be sent from Expression Engine.
SugarEE
SugarEE is an Expression Engine module that enables bidirectional communication between Expression Engine and SugarCRM via the SugarCRM API. Since it leverages SugarCRM data there is no need to synchronize. All data is held and managed within SugarCRM.
Use Cases
The use cases are virtually limitless since these two modules combined handle most business scenarios.
Easy Lead Forms: Since SugarEE can easily push data to SugarCRM a business could quickly create any number of forms that would send data to the desired modules and fields.
Robust Portals: These two modules make it very easy to create your own working portal in a matter of hours instead of weeks.
